Current models of development prioritize growth without considering the long-term environmental consequences, leading to depletion and pollution that are then repeated in subsequent cycles.

"DEVELOP, DEPLETE, POLLUTE, REPEAT" was etched into a fallen leaf with a fine tipped soldering iron to serve as a call to action to break this pattern and highlight the stark contrast between nature and our damaging impact.

The ephemeral nature of the object utilized required it be photographed, further underscoring the damage being done to already fragile ecosystems.
